导读:
December 2nd, 1982 was when John Warnock and Charles Geschke founded Adobe. I was almost 1 year old. 25 years later I have my dream job working for the company they founded. We've both come a long way but Adobe's has been the much more interesting/profitable road. The history of Adobeis something I find very interesting. One of the best parts about working on the "inside" is being able to go back and see all of the products that didn't make it. Or even better, the products that evolved into something else. Adobe is a tremendous company undergoing a really fantastic evolution. It's exciting for me to be a part of it and I hope in 25 years I'll be doing a blog post about how great the 50th anniversary is.
JDhas a pointer to a really good article by Martin LaMonica about Bruce Chizen and Adobe. Adobe hasalways been a platform company. Between PostScript, PDF, Flash and now AIR, Adobe has always tried to provide people a way to create engaging experiences. And we've made a lot of money creating the best tools out there for any kind of creative endeavor. John Nackhas a lot of great info over on his blog about the anniversary and it's all worth a look if you want to see where we've been and where we're going.
